CellPaint.com - Open to everyone, again.

While it’s been a case of “in again, out again”, I have again removed the registration system from my flash based painting site cellpaint.com.
I’ve decided that I will get more contributors without forcing people to register. The downside of this is it makes moderating users near to impossible and this is something I have accepted. Looking at the types of things users have been submitting it’s obvious people prefer to submit “quick scribbles” rather than full blown illustrations as I had envisioned while developing CellPaint.
To help stop the site from filling up, cells now have a lifespan of 7 days from the time they are submitted. I am hoping this will help keep the site fresh and constantly changing.
Playing with Papervision3D

Papervision has been around for quite some time now but until recently I haven’t had a chance to try it out. This is a little test I’ve been working on for a project. I wrote a custom class which each square is an instance of. It accepts a BitmapData object for each side of the square.
The actual spinning is handled by Tweener. If you look closely it gets a little tint of grey when it spins to give some pseudo-lighting.
